REACTIVE SERVER MANAGEMENT
Reacting to the past rather than anticipating the future. This type of server management is mainly based on troubleshooting and to do management tasks on request of the client, as well as solve matters as they arise.
Swiftway staff members will not install or change anything without a request of the client. If a service is down, we follow the exact procedure as outlined by the client. We create procedures together with the client in close cooperation and follow these procedures.
This management is usually suitable for simple solutions and simple applications. For example, one server that is dedicated as a webserver or database server might be a good platform to manage reactive. The reactive management style reduces costs but increases risks.
PROACTIVE SERVER MANAGEMENT
Acting before a situation becomes a source of confrontation or crisis. This type of server management anticipated problems before they arise, setting up the platform as secure, safe and resistant as possible. Swiftway staff members will plan your platform, based on your requirements. We will implement and follow our procedures to manage your (server) platform.
